Sunday, May 18 - Musee O'dorsay & Seine River Curise

Located in the centre of the banks of the seine, musee d'Orsay was a former train station built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900. The art collections are from the period 1848 to 1914 birth periods of Impressionism. All my favourites are under one roof. Monet, degas, Renoir , Van Gogh , Matisse etc.all in one beautiful building

Hers's Gary under the giant victor Hugo clock waiting for the next train hehe.

The Impressionists found that they could capture the momentary and transient effects of sunlight by painting en plein air. They portrayed overall visual effects instead of details, and used short "broken" brush strokes of mixed and pure unmixed colour—not blended smoothly or shaded, as was customary—to achieve an effect of intense colour vibration.

We sneaked outside for a brief break to check out the exterior of the Louvre.

Then a nap after.

After lunch we headed down to the boat tour boarding area at the banks of the seine. Gary was in heaven as he is near boats and water again. (Ken - want us to bring this baby back?)

Ah' my favourite bridge Point Alexandre III

It is well known most French men have a wife and a mistress. Not!

After a long day, we chose a whiter afair for dinner tonight - white meat white wine.

we check out Eiffel's show when we come every night à demain.
