Friday, May 16 - St. Germain

After ten hours of flight and more alcohol than expected, we arrived safely at CDG terminal 3. Note the immigrants still waiting on the other side of the fence;)

Most of u already know I plan trips a year ahead. I wish I get bonus air mile points for early preparation. I know exactly what we are doing in 30 min segments every day for 2 weeks. . Don't they call this OCD back home? Hey, some one has to take the baguette by the dozen. It took me months to find our hangout in the city of lights. Gary has shall we say "special needs" that makes it difficult to just say oui oui .

I managed to find our little love nest in the left bank. No - it's not where left handed people do their banking :)

its part of the historic core where Paris developed around the Notre-Dame, on the Ile de la Cité (“Island of the City”). There you’ll find Paris’ oldest sights, from Roman ruins to the medieval Sainte-Chapelle church. The Left Bank is between the river Seine and the Luxembourg Garden and known for Paris’ intellectual, artistic, and café life. It’s also one of Paris’ best boutique shopping ;). Speaking of shopping, wait a minute till I check this out will ya?

Our unit is on the 7th floor of a Hausmannian building with a Mansard roof which is a very tipical style here in Paris. Our cozy little place has all the comforts of home with two beautiful French doors that open out and looks down on to St Germain blvd. look at the top of the picture, I'm waving from the living room Balcony. After a short rest we headed out exploring and to purchase our wine, cheese and baguettes . We enjoyed our petit first French meal by the windows.

From the bedroom French doors there is a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower glittering at sun down. What a beautiful evening? Bonne de nuit.
